Nashua Telegraph Jun 9, 1936 Funeral service for Robert E Tracy, student aviator who died at Memorial hospital early Monday evening of injuries suffered in an airplane crash at the airport, will be held from the home 360 Main street at 7:30 Thursday morning following a requiem high mass at St. Patrick church at 8:30. Mr. Tracy, who was critically injured when his plane crashed last Friday morning had been given an even chance for recovery but he took a turn for worse Monday and died shortly before seven o'clock last night. He suffered head injuries, internal injuries, broken hip, broken leg, severe body bruises and shock. Airport officials said they believed that in making a landing at the airport Tracy had slightly overshot the field and in an effort to gain altitude to circle the field to come in again, the motor stalled and the plane crashed. He was pulled from the wreckage by resident near the airport and rushed to Memorial hospital. He regained consciousness at the hospital and talked briefly with relatives at times. He was given blood transfusions in an effort to build up his strength but he failed to rally from the shock. Mr. Tracy was born in Nashua, February 6, 1912, a son of George G. and Ida Jarest Tracy. He attended local schools and for the past year had conducted the Arnold Electrical shop. He had a host of friends in the city who were shocked to hear of the tragic accident and death last night. He is survived by his Wife, Mildred Roy Tracey, his parents, Mr. and Mrs. George G. Tracy, two brothers, Police Officer Paul J. Tracy, Milton G. Tracy, on sister, Mildred F. Tracy, several uncles, aunts and cousins. The body has been removed to the home 360 Main street where it may be viewed by relatives and friends.
