Description	:	Robert E. "Dick" Mauzy, Sr., 97, of Blue Grass, one of Highland County's oldest residents, died Saturday at the Pendleton Nursing Home in Franklin, West Virginia. He was born August 10, 1889 near Hightown, a son of David Laird and Martha Jane Swecker Mauzy. He was an elder at Crabbottom Presbyterian Church for 61 years, a 64 year member of the Highland Masonic Lodge 110 AF & AM, and was a charter member of the Blue Grass Ruritan Club. E. served as principal at Fluvanna and Edinburgh County Schools and later as Superintendent of Bath and Highland Schools from 1917 until his retirement in 1940. A Masonic service was conducted at 4 p.m. Tuesday at the Blue Grass Cemetery by the Reverend C. William Cox. Obaugh funeral home was in charge of the arrangements.
