Eddy was a pipe fitter by trade and worked with Freeman Mechanical of Greenville, SC and BF Shaw of Laurens, SC. He served as the chairman of Local 421 The United Association of Journeymen and Apprentices of the Plumbing and Pipe fitting Industry for several years in Greenville, SC. His primary love was for his family and friends. His most special times were spent cooking,... Read More	Robert “Eddy” Vaughn, 80, of Simpsonville, SC, passed away on September 22, 2020, of old age. He was born in Greenville, SC on January 23, 1940 to Robert Eustus and Margaret Christopher Vaughn. Eddy was a pipe fitter by trade and worked with Freeman Mechanical of Greenville, SC and BF Shaw of Laurens, SC. He served as the chairman of Local 421 The United Association of Journeymen and Apprentices of the Plumbing and Pipe fitting Industry for several years in Greenville, SC. His primary love was for his family and friends. His most special times were spent cooking, especially at Lake Greenwood with a smoker filled with chickens and hams, with a good time had by all. His work ethic was absolute and instilled in his children. He was an honorable man and a man of faith who lived by example and understood the importance of family. He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Almeda Fowler Vaughn; three children, Robin Vaughn Wyant and husband, Don Jr., David Edgar Vaughn and wife, Ann Frankovich Vaughn, and Robert Mark Vaughn and wife, Michelle Lee Vaughn; seven grandchildren, Keri Cantrell, Mallary Vaughn, Devan Vaughn, Ally Vaughn, Hannah Wyant, Addison Vaughn, and Kaylee Vaughn; and one great-grandson, Caleb Cantrell. Eddy is also survived by three of his siblings, Becky Austin of Simpsonville, SC, and Sammy Vaughn and Mary Ann King, both of Daytona Beach, FL. He was preceded in death by one brother, Jimmy Vaughn of Jacksonville, FL. Graveside service in the Standing Springs Baptist Church Cemetery.
