Born August 10, 1934, in Deer Park, MD, he was the son of the late Ernest Gilbert and Nellie Lucille (Lee) Tasker. He was also preceded in death by a son, Robert Ellsworth Tasker, Jr.; a brother, Ronald Ernest Tasker and a sister, June Elizabeth Smith. Born August 10, 1934, in Deer Park, MD, he was the son of the late Ernest Gilbert and Nellie Lucille (Lee) Tasker. He was also preceded in death by a son, Robert Ellsworth Tasker, Jr.; a brother, Ronald Ernest Tasker and a sister, June Elizabeth Smith. Robert retired from Peter’s Fuel, where he worked as a truck driver. He was a member of the American Legion Proctor Kildow Post 71, Oakland and of Deer Park Sportsman’s Club, Deer Park, MD. Robert was a veteran of the US Air Force. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Bernadine Delores (Smith) Tasker; three sons, Richard Eugene Tasker and wife, Vicki; Douglas Ray Tasker; Darryl Lee Tasker and wife, Christine; a sister, Sharon Lynn Tasker, all of Oakland; special cousins, Barbara Skipper and Elinor Ann Collins, both of Swanton; six grandchildren; two step-grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. At Robert’s request he will be cremated, a private memorial service will be held at a later date. Newman Funeral Homes, P.A., 1100 Memorial Dr., Oakland, is in charge of his arrangements. Expressions of sympathy may be directed to Southern Garrett County Rescue Squad, Garrett Regional Medical Center or to Loch Lynn Church of God.
