Wapello Street, longtime oil station operator here, died Tuesday at 11:45 p.m. at St. Joseph Hospital. He had been ill three weeks. He retired December of 1966, as operator of the Standard Oil Station at Second and Marion streets, after more than 38 years in the oil station business. Mr. Boulger was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Elks Club, and was a third and fourth degree member of the Knights of Columbus. Survivors besides his widow include one son, Michael Boulger of Ottumwa; three daughters, Mrs. Marcia Swope of Rockford, Ill., Mrs. Ellen Fuqua of Denver, and Debra at home; his mother, Mrs. Jennie Boulger of Ottumwa; and one brother Thomas Lawrence Boulger of Ottumwa. Wapello Street, who died Tuesday at the St. Joseph Hospital will be Friday at 10 a.m. at St. Mary’s Catholic Church. The Rev. Clifford Egert, pastor, will celebrate a Requiem Mass. Burial will be in Shaul Cemetery. Pallbearers will be John Moreland, Dr. J.P. Ryan, Harry Keck, Harold Kent, Mike Lemberger and Bud Carr. Members of the Knights of Columbus and St. Mary’s parish and friends will meet a 8 o’clock this evening at the Traul Funeral Home to recite the Rosary.
