Bob was born December 22, 1927, and was a lifelong resident of Iola, Kan. He was preceded in life by Sally Ann Sherrill, his wife of 52 years, and his youngest daughter, Denise Ann Sherrill. He is survived by three daughters and two brothers, Susie and her husband, Jim Shearer, Blue Springs, Mo., Jeanie and her husband, Mike Stultz, Lawrence, Kan., and Barbara Lucile Sherrill, Iola, Kan., David Sherrill, Iola, and Dr. Dee Sherrill and wife, Beth, Estes Park, Colo.; brother-in-law, Brad Kidd and wife, Salley Jo, of Winfield, Kan.; sister-in-law, Irma Kidd of Wichita, Kan.; four grandchildren, Dr. Joy Furman and her husband, Dr. Matt Furman, of Pueblo West, Colo., Galen J. Morrison of Overland Park, Kan., Sherrill Ann Scott and her husband, Brandon, of Olathe, Kan., and Stacey Dawn Howell and her husband, Dr. Matt Howell, of Andover, Kan.; three step-grandsons, James and his wife, Kristi, John Shearer of Louisville, Ky., and Jason and his wife, Terri Shearer, of Blue Springs, Mo.; great-grandchildren, Blake, Preston and Greyson Furman, Ashley and Jimmy Shearer, Ellie, Rowen and Remy Jane Howell, McKenzie Leeann Scott, and Jessica and Jonny Shearer; and numerous beloved nieces, nephews and cousins. Bob owned his own milk route and hauled milk for the Pet Milk Company. He farmed west of town and raised polled hereford cattle. He drove trucks for Lehigh and Ruan Cement Company. Bob served in the Army during the occupation of Japan 1945-1947. He was a VFW member and was a Methodist by faith. Condolences online may be made to the Waugh-Yokum website, www.Iolafuneral.com.
