Description	:	Three members of an Ottumwa family were killed in a car-train collision Sunday at Agency, and a fourth was listed in serious condition today. The dead were identified as Robert Eugene Hart, 27, of 143 Lincoln, and his children, Robert, Jr., 5, and Stephanie, 3. Authorities said the Hart auto was southbound on Alpine Road, about one-fourth mile south of US HWy 34, when the accident occurred at 12:25 p.m.The train, a freight, was westbound. The engine struck the car almost broadside and carried it about 100 feet down the track, said officers. The Harts and Miss Muldoon were thrown from the vehicle. The car was demolished, but the train received no apparent damage, authorities said. Engineer was C.R. Ross of Galesburg, Ill. and Jim Cowan was conductor. The Iowa Highway Patrol said the crossing is marked by a crossbuck. Wapello County sheriff's officers and the Agency marshal aided in the investigation. Funeral services for the three Harts will be Wednesday, 10:30 am at First Pentacostal Assembly of God Church with Rev. Robert Palmer officiating. Burial will be in Shaul Cemetery, OB Nelson Post will be in charge of military services. The caskets will be taken from Reece Funeral Home to the church at the time of the services and will be closed. The family will be at the funeral home from 7 to 9 pm Tuesday. Robert Eugene Hart, 27, was born Jan. 15, 1947 to Dess J. and Mary Randall Hart. He was employed by Ottumwa Transit Co., served in the Navy from 1965-1970 and was a member of O.B. Nelson Post #3 of the AmericanLegion, The VFW, and the International Order of Foresters. He married Sheila Hunt Feb. 9, 1968 in Ottumwa. She survives as do his mother, Mrs. Mary Hart of Ottumwa, his father, Dess J. Hart, and stepmother Peggy Hart,, both of Eldon; two brothers, his twin William D. Hart, and Gary W. Hart, and grandmother, Mrs. Minnie Hart, all of Ottumwa. Robert Allan Hart, 5, was born Feb. 4, 1969 in Ottumwa. Stephanie K. Hart, 3, was born July 1, 1970 in Ottumwa. The children of Robert Eugene Hart, they are survived by their mother Sheila Hunt Hart; grandparents Mr. and Mrs. Lowell Hunt and Mrs. Mary Hart, all of Ottumwa; grandfather, Dess J. Hart of Eldon; step-grandmother Mrs. Peggy Hart of Eldon, and ggrandmother Mrs. Minnie Hart.
