He was taken sick on Sunday previous to his death. Grippe developed into pneumonia and death ensued. He was the son of John and Joice Francy, and was born in Henry County, Iowa, August 24, 1851. Oct 29, 1882, he and Josephine Miller were united in marriage. One daughter, Mrs. Stella Greenlee, Fremont, Neb., was born to them. Mrs. Francy died some years ago. Besides the daughter and three grandchildren, one sister, Miss Eliza Francey [sic], Salem, iowa, and one brother, Mrs. David Francey [sic], Glendale, Cal., are left to mourn. Many warm friends also remain. Funeral services, conducted by Frank E. Weston, pastor of the First Baptist church of Mt. Pleasant, were held in Pleasant Hill church Sunday afternoon at 2:30. Rev. W.S. Moore assisted in the service. There was a large congregation present. The pall bearers were John Williams, Chas. Sheets, H.L. McGrew, Cassius Carnahan, Lincoln Antrim and Wm. Stewart. Interment was in Pleasant Hill cemetery. Mr. Francy had many friends who will miss him and who mourn his death. Contributor: djtruitt (47746502)
