Description	:	Robert Frank "Bob" Stribling Saluda, NC--Robert Frank "Bob" Stribling, 89, formerly of the Putman Community of Union County, SC, died Saturday morning, November 17, 2007 at the Autumn Care Nursing Home in Saluda, NC. He was married for 69 years to the late Matrel O'Shields Stribling, who predeceased him October 17, 2007. He was the last surviving member of his immediate family. Read More	Robert Frank "Bob" Stribling Saluda, NC--Robert Frank "Bob" Stribling, 89, formerly of the Putman Community of Union County, SC, died Saturday morning, November 17, 2007 at the Autumn Care Nursing Home in Saluda, NC. He was married for 69 years to the late Matrel O'Shields Stribling, who predeceased him October 17, 2007. He was the last surviving member of his immediate family. Mr. Stribling was born in Pauline, SC May 23, 1918, a son of the late Lamar and Docia Wofford Stribling. He was a graduate of Pauline High School and was a U.S. Navy Veteran of World War II, having served with the Sea Bees. Mr. Stribling was retired from NAPA Auto Parks Store, as a machine shop manager and was a member of the American Legion Post 22. A member of Putman Baptist Church, he had served his church as Deacon, Church Treasurer, Sunday School Teacher and Training Union Director. He was also on the Building and Grounds Committee. Mr. Stribling is survived by two daughers, Helen S. McInnis and husband Dan of Alcolu, SC and Connie S. Kuykendall and husband Terry of Columbus, NC; his sister-in-law Hazel O. Babb and husband Bill of Buffalo, SC; eight grandsons, and 13 great grandchildren. Mr. Stribling is predeceased by a son, Larry Stribling, five sisters, Etolia Vale, Ruby Cooper, Sallie Mae Ivy, Crystal McMeeken and Stella Stribling; and two brothers, Floyd Stribling and Wofford Stribling. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, November 20, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. at Putman Baptist Church, conducted by Rev. Donald Tillman. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Dennis Sherbert, Glenn Sherbert, Harold Gregory, Gerald Graham, Jimmy Sanders, Marshal O'Shields and Donald Babb. The family will receive friends following the service in the church social building. The family is at the home of his sister-in-law, Hazel O. Babb....
