Bobby was born in Tipton, on Dec. 20, 1957, to Patricia (Glassburn) and John C. Altherr. On March 1, 1989, he married Sherry Griswold, who survives. Also surviving are his children, Christopher, Indianapolis, Lydia, Kaitlyn, and Andrew, all of Michigan City; his mother, Patricia, Kokomo; sister, Karyn, Valrico, Florida; brothers: Dan, Kokomo, James, Birmingham, Alabama, and John, Palm Harbor, Florida. Visitation for family and friends will be 4 to 8 p.m. (CST) Monday, Aug. 8, 2016, at Geisen-Carlisle Funeral Home, 613 Washington St., Michigan City, IN 46360, 219-974-4214, and from 10 to 11 a.m. (CT) Tuesday, Aug. 9, 2016, at First Presbyterian Church, and from 1 to 2 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 10, 2016, at Sunset Memory Gardens Funeral Home, Kokomo. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. (CT) Tuesday, Aug. 9, 2016, at First Presbyterian Church, 121 W. Ninth St., Michigan City, with the Rev. Dr. Ericka Parkinson-Kilbourne officiating.
