(Kathy) Reed, Georganna (David) Reed-McLean, James G. (Heather) Reed, Joseph E. Reed, Gregory A. Reed, Kimberly K. (Grey) Armstrong, Michele L. (Jeffrey) Houchins, Lisa J. (Eric) Codora, Kevin M. Reed, Teresa M. (Dennis) Walls, Katherine E. (Todd) Dawson and Anthony D. Lay; 20 great- nieces and nephews; six great-great- nieces and nephews; godson, Matthew Rex Hanna; and special friend, W. Tyler Agner. He was valedictorian of the Class of 1954 at Belle Center High School, graduated from The Ohio State University in 1958 with a bachelor of arts degree, and earned a bachelor of law degree from the OSU College of Law in 1960. From 1961 to 1964, he was assigned to TJAGSA at Charlottesville, Va., with the Army USAR JAGC. He entered as a first lieutenant and was promoted to captain 0-3. He also earned the Army Commendation Medal. In 1964, Bob began practicing law in Kenton with Mark Hanna, and later was joined by James Ansley and John Neville. He also had an office in Belle Center. After closing the Kenton office in 2000, he donated the building to the Hardin County Genealogy Chapter. He continued practicing law in Belle Center until 2010. He was a member of the Belle Center United Presbyterian Church, Lawrence Valley Grange, Hardin County Genealogy Chapter, Hardin County Community Foundation, Hardin County Humane Society, Kenton Elks Lodge 157, the OSU Alumni Association Inc., OSU Buckeye Club, Ohio State Bar Association, Hardin County Bar Association, Logan County Bar Association, was the attorney for the United Rural Electric Co. for many years and served on the Mary Lou Johnson Hardin County Library Board for a number of years. The Rev. Kathy Clark conducts a funeral at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Belle Center United Presbyterian Church, where visitation begins one hour prior. Calling is from 3 to 7 p.m. Friday at the Schindewolf Stevens Stout Funeral Home, Kenton. A military graveside service is conducted by the Kenton AMVETS Post 1994 Honor Guard in Fairview-McDonald Cemetery. Bob will be missed by his family, friends and clients. He truly had a heart of generosity all his life.
