Parker, a well known citizen of Harrisonburg and a prominent travelling salesman, died yesterday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock at his home in Harrisonburg of pneumonia super induced by Spanish influenza. He had been ill only since Tuesday of last week. Mr. Parker was a son of Mrs. Georgianna Parker and the late William Parker, of Minesville, near Bridgewater, Augusta County, and was twenty eight years old the 19th of last April. Mr. Parker was a son of Mrs. Georgianna Parker and the late William Parker, of Minesville, near Bridgewater, Augusta County, and was twenty eight years old the 19th of last April. Eleven years ago Mr. Parker came to Harrisonburg and was connected with W.P. Anthony in the mercantile business. Later he was a salesman in the J.P. Burke Hardware Store and for a short time was shipping clerk with the J.M. Snell Hardware Company, a few years ago he went to Washington, where he accepted a position with Edwin & Company and recently traveled for Arbuckle Coffee Company. For a number of years Mr. Parker had been a consistent member of the Methodist Church and was a member of the William Dean Sunday School Class. He had been a member of the Hose Company 4 also several lodges and local organizations. During his residence in Harrisonburg he made many friends good traits and exemplary habits, who learn of his death with regret. Surviving besides his mother, are his wife, who was Miss. Myrtle Lucas, a daughter of Mrs. Mary Lucas, and the late Henry Lucas, of Harrisonburg, and an Aunt Miss. Addie Dickenson, of Millnesville. The funeral will be held tomorrow at 3 o'clock from the residence. Services will be conducted by Rev. J. Howard Wells, D.D., pastor of the Methodist Church, assisted by Rev. J.L.
