Bob), 98, LaFollette banker, Campbell County farmer, real estate and civic leader died Monday at LaFollette Nursing Home. He was the son of the late Silas and Anna E. Sharp. Mr. Sharp helped organize the First National Bank of LaFollette in 1904 and served as board chairman and director for years. He stayed on through 1968 as honorary board chairman and director. Read More	From the LaFollette Press, Thursday, August 21, 1969: FUNERAL RITES HELD FOR COL. BOB SHARP Robert H. Sharp (Col. Bob), 98, LaFollette banker, Campbell County farmer, real estate and civic leader died Monday at LaFollette Nursing Home. He was the son of the late Silas and Anna E. Sharp. Mr. Sharp helped organize the First National Bank of LaFollette in 1904 and served as board chairman and director for years. He stayed on through 1968 as honorary board chairman and director. Involved in extensive real estate promotions here, he was a leader in programs to boost churches and schools. At one time, he was active in the old Tri-County Fair Association. Mr. Sharp was also appointed a Tennessee colonel by former Gov. Gordon Browning. Survivors include daughters, Mrs. Ernest C. Sharp and Mrs. Dewey Hunter, both of LaFollette; two brothers, F. Emory Sharp of Colorado Springs, Colo. and Mack Sharp of LaFollette; sister, Mrs. Annie Stanford of Port Lavaca, Texas; three grandchildren, Terry Hunter and Mrs. Anne Upchurch of Knoxville and Mrs. Carol Smith of Tampa, Fla. Funeral services were held Wednesday at Roach Mortuary Chapel with the Rev. Ogleva Street officiating. Burial was in Woodlawn Cemetery.
