Description	:	ROBERT HARRIS WILDE passed away peacefully on Monday, November 21 at age 83 after a battle with cancer. Bob was born Mar 15, 1928 in Lethbridge, Alberta to Jesse Harris and Anna Weinheimer Wilde - he being the first of 8 children. He spent his growing up years in Welling on the family farm and attended school in Welling. Bob attended University in Edmonton and Ft Collins Colorado where he got his Masters degree in engineering. Read More	ROBERT HARRIS WILDE passed away peacefully on Monday, November 21 at age 83 after a battle with cancer. Bob was born Mar 15, 1928 in Lethbridge, Alberta to Jesse Harris and Anna Weinheimer Wilde - he being the first of 8 children. He spent his growing up years in Welling on the family farm and attended school in Welling. Bob attended University in Edmonton and Ft Collins Colorado where he got his Masters degree in engineering. He returned to Welling, married LaDeen McBride of Raymond and settled on the family farm in Welling where he farmed with his brothers. Bob and LaDeen raised their family in Welling where he was actively involved in the community. He served on the Raymond Irrigation Board for 33 years and was the chairman of Alberta Irrigation Projects Association. He was an active member of the Raymond Rotary Club for over 45 years. He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints serving in many capacities including Bishop and counsellor in the Stake Presidency as well as serving a mission with his wife at Cove Fort, Utah. Bob was very ingenious and loved to work with his hands. He built many farm machines and his hobby was working in his wood shop. There was nothing that he could not build or fix. Bob will be missed by his loving wife, LaDeen; daughters - Susan (Barry) Grant of Taber; Bev (Pete) Scott of Welling; Peggy (Wade) Steed of Taber; Karen (Lee) Rickords of Logan, Utah; Kathleen (Byron) Brooks of Raymond; Carolyn Law of Raymond and Becky (Monti) Toly of Milk River and one son - Byron (Sheila) of Welling. He was pre-deceased by 5 children - Darrel & Carrel, Jean & Joan and Randall; as well as 2 grandchildren - Wes Scott and Mary Toly. Bob is survived by his sister Ede (Mel) Foote, and brothers Ross (Jane) Wilde and Tom (Flo) Wilde. He was predeceased by his parents; sisters Joyce Wilde and Audrey (Carlos) Smith, as well as brothers Arvin (Betty) and Dave (Verla). He is also survived by 35 grandchildren and 30 great-grandchildren. Friends may meet the family at the Welling chapel on Friday evening, November 25 from 7:00 to 8:00 pm, or prior to the funeral service on Saturday from 9:00 am to 9:45 am. The Funeral Service will be held at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, WELLING CHAPEL, Welling, Alberta on Saturday, November 26, 2011 at 10:00 am with Bishop Randy Wilde officiating. Interment in the Temple Hill Cemetery, Raymond.
