Jones, of Bow, passed away Monday morning, May 26, at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Ernest Atterbury, at Lyman, where he had been spending several weeks. Mr. Jones was born in Lee County, Iowa, April 17, 1838. When only a small boy he moved with his parents to Kansas, where he made his home until eight years ago, when he came to Washington, where he lived until his death. He served three and one-half years in the Civil war with Company F, Third Missouri volunteer cavalry. He leaves to mourn his loss three sons, William, Mount and Bart, two living in Oklahoma and one in Kansas, and two daughters, Mrs. Ernest Atterbury, of Lyman, and Mrs. William Thomas of Bow. He has made his home with Mrs. Thomas for the past three years. Funeral services were held this morning at the Thomas home, Rev. Long of the Christian church at Bow, officiating. Interment was made in the I. O. O. F. cemetery at Bow.
