Today the two children lie sleeping in one grave in East Linwood cemetery and the devoted father and mother sit alone by their lonely fireside and strive to reconcile their grief with the will of divine providence. It is only through great faith, however, that this can be accomplished, and the counties friends trust that this stricken father and mother many be abundantly sustained by that faith and in time become resigned to their irreparable lore. We told last week of the death of the little four year old girl, Mary Louise, which occurred Wednesday morning, March 1st. At that time the fifteen months old son, Robert Henry was in a critical condition with the same trouble, and while all hoped and prayed that he might be spared, yet his death was considered so certain that no funeral arrangement were made. Wednesday night and Thursday the boy seemed to improve, but Thursday evening was taken worse again and passed away at 3:00 o’clock Friday morning. The funeral services were held from the home at 2:30 o’clock Saturday afternoon, conducted by the Rev. Otto Erbe in both German and English. Mrs. O.A. Nelson and Miss Elizabeth Ertz sang two of the hymns which Mary Louise often sang and loved “Jesus Wants Me For a Sunbeam” and “The Lord is My Shepherd” Many beautiful floral offerings attested the love and sorrow of all. The two children were laid together in one casket, thus they are happy together in death as they had been in life. The pall bearers were Julius and Frederick Goeppinger and Paul and Marvin Herman, cousins of the deceased children. The remains were tenderly laid to rest in East Linwood cemetery. A brother, brother in law and sister in law of Mrs. Geoppinger from Youngstown, Ohio, were present for the funeral
