Mr. Naber, who lived at 1105 Robin Rd., had been a lifelong resident of Muscatine. He was born here Aug. 28, 1916. the son of Peter H. Naber and Esther Drisli Naber. Mr. Naber graduated from Muscatine High school with the class of 1933. He served with the Navy Sea Bees during World War II, receiving his discharge in 1945. An enthusiastic and energetic person, Mr. Naber was a 25 year member of the Elks lodge; past secretary of Local No. 240 of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers; member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars; and member of the Muscatine club. He was a member of the board of directors of United Community Services. Mr. Naber married the former Dorothy Fiderlein, June 27, 1940, in Muscatine. He was a member of St. Mary's church. He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Dorothy Naber; one son, James, 19, at home: and his parents, Mrs. Esther Naber of Muscatine and Mr. Peter H. Naber of Muscatine. He was preceded in death by one sister, Genevieve, on May 10, 1915. The body is at the Riley funeral home, where friends may call, after 7 o'clock tonight. The Rosary will be recited at 8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Funeral services will be held at 9 a.m. Monday at St. Mary's church. Interment will be at St. Mary's cemetery, where military rites will be conducted jointly by the American Legion and The Veterans of Foreign Wars.
