Bob was born February 9, 1928 in Howells, NE to Stephen and Mary (Kulhanek) Kalisek. He grew up at Howells and was a graduate of Howells High School. Kalisek, 88 years, of Fremont, NE died Monday, November 14, 2016 at Fremont Health Medical Center. Bob was born February 9, 1928 in Howells, NE to Stephen and Mary (Kulhanek) Kalisek. He grew up at Howells and was a graduate of Howells High School. Bob served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War and held the rank of Sergeant. Bob married Alvina A. Vogel on May 8, 1951 at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church at Olean. Bob moved to Fremont in 1962. He worked as a carpenter for TOPCO in Fremont and as a salesman for Gambles Furniture Store and later was a supervisor at Valmont Industries in Valley, NE. Bob was a member of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, the V.F.W. Post #854 and the Fraternal Order of Eagles #200 all in Fremont. He enjoyed the outdoors, keeping his lawn beautiful, spending time with his family and tinkering and repairing things. He is survived by daughters, Donna and husband, Dale Pfeifer of Fremont and Bernice and husband, Kenneth Parr of York, NE; sons, Glenn and wife, Pam Kalisek and Keith and wife, Becky Kalisek all of Fremont and Mark and wife, Anne Kalisek of Bermuda Dunes, CA; sisters, Lydia and husband, Melvin Peitzmeier of Omaha and Blanche Uher of David City; sister-in-law, Wilma Kalisek of Dodge, NE; 17 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Alvina, who died June 29, 2007; brothers, Stanley and Rynold Kalisek; brother-in-law, Lumir Uher; and sister-in-law, Wilma Kalisek Funeral Mass will be 10:30 AM, Friday, November 18, 2016 at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Fremont. Father David Belt will officiate. Rosary will be said at 7:00 PM on Thursday at Moser Memorial Chapel in Fremont. Visitation with family receiving friends will be from 5 PM to 7 PM on Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery in Fremont with military honors conducted by the Fremont Honor Guard of V.F.W. Post #854 and American Legion Post #20. Memorials may be given to St. Patrick’s Catholic Church or to the family for a memorial designation yet to be determined." Moser Memorial Chapel, Fremont, Nebraska.
