| Description | : | Son of Charles & Victoria (Sus) Korgie. He attended grade school at St. Anthony's and then entered the St. Joseph Seminary in Chicago, Illinois. He also attended Northwestern University in Chicago. Bob served in the U.S. Navy during WWII from 1942-1948 being stationed on 6 Navy Destroyers. His tour of duty included the Normandy Invasion on D-Day. He then served in the Pacific Theater. Following his discharge Bob returned to Columbus where he was the second man hired at the Becton-Dickinson Plant.
