Description	:	"Bobby" was the younger son of "Emma" Ruth Emmaline Hutchinson Pepples and Clarence Nelson Pepples. They were both deceased at the time of Bobby's death (see their memorials for explanation). His older brother, Sonny (then 18 years old) chose to spell their last name Peppels. It's possible he wanted to distance himself from his father's name. I believe when his parents died, both boys were living with the grandparents, Jesse A. and Charity Adaline Coleman/Pepples, and continued to do so. I find it a bit unusual Charity did not sign Bobby's death certificate, but her husband, Jesse, had just died August 8, 1940, so maybe she was not in any condition to handle it. I do not know if she was still living, and am unable to find any information on her death, although her family tree is extensive. Bobby's death certificate states he had a weak constitution, and several bouts of pneumonia, and died of exhaustion. So very, very sad, but the doctors weren't particularly sophisticated back then, I guess. It must have been devastating for Sonny. Sonny did not live to old age, either. He died at the age of 39 years.
