Description	:	Robert James Prosser, 68, of Georgetown, the beloved husband of Willie Jane Prosser, went to be with the Lord on Monday afternoon, September 26, 2011, at MUSC. Mr. Prosser was born the son of Allard McCoy Prosser and Amanda Powell Prosser on November 16, 1942, in Florence. He was a 33-year employee with Georgetown Steel Mill, first as a truck driver and then as a heavy machine operator, until retirement. Mr. Prosser was born the son of Allard McCoy Prosser and Amanda Powell Prosser on November 16, 1942, in Florence. He was a 33-year employee with Georgetown Steel Mill, first as a truck driver and then as a heavy machine operator, until retirement. James was an accomplished musician who could play numerous instruments. He accompanied several local singers, gospel groups, and served for many years as musician for the Rock PH Church. James and Willie Jane were married August 8, 1966, and celebrated 45 years together. He leaves behind his wife; a brother, Gene Prosser; and two sisters, Leona Holmes, and Janice Hodge. He was predeceased by his parents; a brother, Ray Prosser; and a sister, Dorothy Goude. A Celebration of Life will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, September 29, 2011, at Rock Pentecostal Holiness Church with interment in the Pennyroyal Memorial Gardens, directed by the Georgetown Chapel of McKenzie Funeral Home. Officiating will be the Rev. John Morris. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday evening, September 28, 2011, in the sanctuary of Rock Pentecostal Holiness Church.
