Read More	BAILEY ROBERT JOHN BOB--Robert John (Bob) Bailey was born December 13, 1948, in York to Robert T. and Marian Kroll Bailey. He died August 19, 1991, at home in Lincoln after a lengthy illness. He was 42. Bob moved with his parents to Geneva in the fall of 1949. He was baptized April 17, 1949, in the First Congregational Church in Geneva. He was confirmed on May 20, 1962, and remained a member of the Geneva church until he transferred his membership to First Plymouth Congregational Church in Lincoln. Bob attended Geneva Public School and graduated in 1967. He continued his education at the University of Nebraska from 1967 to 1970, majoring in music and journalism. During his school years, Bob developed a strong interest in music, which he maintained throughout his life. While in high school and college, he played in several dance bands. Most notable of theses was “The Undertakers” who were popular from 1966 until their last performance May 21, 1970. Bob always enjoyed sharing music with others. After college Bob pursued his love for music by working in the audio industry. He worked in the Lincoln area for ten years before joining “Klipsch and Associates, Inc.” of Hope, AR., in 1981, Bob traveled eleven states as a Sales Representative for Klipsch. He was always interested in electronics and new technology and his perfectionism was reflected in his work. He believed in his product and was honored by the company in 1989 as “National Sales Representative of the Year.” One of the company slogans particularly suited Bob was, “Meet Me Where There’s Music.” If permitted, he will probably try to improve God’s sound systems. Bob was a great listener, caring and compassionate. He was a generous person and was always helpful and concerned. He was blessed with a sense of humor and quick wit that his family and friends grew to rely on. He had a gift of making the many good times the best and the sad times easier. He was a private and complex person who possessed a desire to be accepted by friends and family, yet was a man unto himself. The comfort of his faith, his home and the company of friends were very important to him. Bob is survived by his parents, Marian and Robert Bailey; his brother, Britton and wife Barbara Bailey and their daughter, Sarah; his sister, Sara and husband James Andreesen and their children, Nathan and Bailey, Marie; his grandmother, Sarah Blanche Kroll. A memorial service was conducted by the Rev. John Smeltzer at First Plymouth Congregational Church in Lincoln on August 22, 1991. Butherus-Moser-Love Mortuary was in charge of arrangements. A private graveside service was conducted by the Rev. Wanda Bennett in the Geneva Public Cemetery. Part of article missing The Nebraska Signal August 1991
