Description	:	Robert Junior Karg was born April 28, 1923 in Holden, Missouri, the son of Robert J. and Blanche Belle (Chappell) Karg. He passed away on Thursday morning, Nov. 26 at the Good Samaritan Society in Villisca at the age of 92 years, 6 months and 29 days. Bob grew up with nine siblings and attended school through the 10th grade. He later served his country in the United States Navy during WW II. Read More	Robert Junior Karg was born April 28, 1923 in Holden, Missouri, the son of Robert J. and Blanche Belle (Chappell) Karg. He passed away on Thursday morning, Nov. 26 at the Good Samaritan Society in Villisca at the age of 92 years, 6 months and 29 days. Bob grew up with nine siblings and attended school through the 10th grade. He later served his country in the United States Navy during WW II. On July 17, 1944 he was united in marriage to Virginia Nadine Davis in Troy, Kansas. This union was blessed with three children, Janet, Rob and Randy. Bob and Nadine lived in California for several years before returning to Clarinda. Bob worked for Hoover-NSK Corporation in Clarinda until his retirement. He was a proud member of the American Legion Sergy Post #98 of Clarinda. He had quite a green thumb and could raise any kind of flower. Bob also raised birds for many years. He loved to tinker and fix just about anything, stargaze and just sit on his porch and watch people pass by. His true love was his family. He was preceded in death by his parents; his step-father, Clyde Watson; brothers, Clifford, Homer, Alvin and Harvey Karg; and sisters, Juanita Weaver, Thelma Weaver and Lola Belle Hughes. Survivors include his wife, Nadine Karg of Clarinda; children, Janet Woodyard and her husband Walter of Clarinda, Rob Karg of Council Bluffs, Randy Karg and his wife Christine of Clarinda; grandchildren, Debbie Swanson and her fiancé Greg Lee of New Prauge, Minnesota, Rick Woodyard and his wife Stacey of Liberty, Missouri; great- grandchildren, Morgan Swanson, Nick Swanson, Erik Woodyard, Emily Woodyard; brother, Henry Karg of New Market; sister, Edith DeBord of Creston; sisters-in-law, Omega Howard of Sacramento, California, Nola Casto, McMinnville, California; brother-in-law, Chuck Davis of Graeagle, California; along with many other relatives and friends. Private family services were held on Wednesday, Dec. 2 at Eickemeyer Funeral Chapel in Clarinda. Burial with military honors will take place at Memory Cemetery at New Market. There was open visitation held on Tuesday, Dec. 1 from 12 noon until 7 p.m. at Eickemeyer Funeral Chapel in Clarinda. Memorials are suggested to the Southwest Iowa Humane Society.
