Description	:	Robert Keith Fox, of Holdrege Nebraska, passed away, March 28, 2008 in Lincoln, Nebraska. Bob was born June 20, 1924 in Scottsbluff, Nebraska, the eldest of four children of Harold Benjamin and Dorothy (Russell) Fox. He received his education from the Sunflower School at Mitchell, Nebraska. Following his education, Bob served his country in the United States Navy from 1944 – 1947 stationed in the Pacific during WW II. Bob was born June 20, 1924 in Scottsbluff, Nebraska, the eldest of four children of Harold Benjamin and Dorothy (Russell) Fox. He received his education from the Sunflower School at Mitchell, Nebraska. Following his education, Bob served his country in the United States Navy from 1944 – 1947 stationed in the Pacific during WW II. On January 13, 1949 he was united in marriage to Nadine June Getty at Holdrege and to this union two children were born: Virginia and James. The family made their home in Holdrege until relocating to Atlanta, Nebraska in 1964. In 1970 they moved to a farm north of Holdrege, where Bob engaged in farming until moving into Holdrege in 1981. Bob drove truck for Speedway Trucking and later in years became a self-employed over-the-road truck driver until his retirement. On November 11, 1985, he was preceded in death by his wife, Nadine. Prior to his death, Bob was a resident at the Kearney County Longterm Care Unit in Minden, Nebraska. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Holdrege, member of the American Legion Post #66, the V.F.W. Post #1365 and also a member of the Eagles. He was an avid sports fan, especially enjoyed following his grandchildren's events, loved to play bingo and cards with his friends. He leaves to mourn his passing his daughter, Virginia Wegesser; and son, Jim Fox and his wife, Sally of Atlanta, Nebraska; two grandchildren: Nickolas and Natalie Fox of Atlanta; two brothers: Gordon Fox of Denver, Colorado and Jack Fox and his wife, Beverly of Mitchell; one sister, Lois White of Denver, CO; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Besides his wife, Bob was preceded in death by his parents; one brother-in-law, Edward White; sister-in-law, Kathy Fox and special friend, Darlene Leach.
