Description	:	Services for Robert L. “Bob” Bauermeister, 79, of Osmond will be at 11 a.m. Friday, March 15, at the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Osmond with the Rev. Glen Emery officiating. Burial will be in the Hillcrest Memorial Park Cemetery in Norfolk. Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. Thursday at the church. He died Friday, March 8, 2019, at the Plainview Manor in Plainview. Robert Bauermeister was born Sept. 25, 1939, in Pierce, to Marvin and Evelyn (Mittelstaedt) Bauermeister. He was baptized on Oct. 29, 1939, and confirmed in 1953, both at the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Hadar. He attended parochial school in Hadar, graduating from Pierce High School in 1958. He married Dorothy Buchholz on June 15, 1989, at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Osmond. He was a member of the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Osmond. After school, Bob worked in California at Sysco for 30 years where he was in charge of the load-out docks. In 1988, Bob moved back to Pierce and started working for Pierce Mini Mart/Liquor Store for 12 years. Bob enjoyed fishing, traveling and going to Husker games. He is survived by his spouse, Dorothy Bauermeister of Osmond; stepchildren Connie (Bruce) Bauer of Ashland, Mo., Dave (Pam) Buchholz of Osmond, Julie (Tony) Sovereign of Elkhorn and Teresa (Kevin) Ullrich of Ashland, Mo; nine stepgrandchildren; eight stepgreat-grandchildren; brother Ronald (Marlyce) Bauermeister of Spencer, Iowa; sisters Carol (Don) Gilbertson of Pierce, Linda (Fred) Myers of Corona, Calif. and Mary Lou (Bob) Fuerhoff of Pierce; brother-in-law Bob Bates of Pierce; aunt Doris Buckendahl of Pierce; along with many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Marvin and Evelyn; sister Betty Bates; and step grandson Tylor Buchholz. Music for the service will be provided by organist Lori Koehler, vocalist Julie Sovereign and violinist Tanner Sovereign with the song “Amazing Grace.” Congregational hymns will be “Rock Of Ages,” “In The Garden” and “When Peace Like A River.” Casket bearers will be his step grandchildren, Michael Bauer, Adam Bauer, Trent Bauer, Katie Bauer, Taylor Buchholz, Hollyann Sovereign, Tanner Sovereign, Trevin Ullrich and Hunter Ullrich.
