Description	:	CLARKS — Robert L. “Bob” Beck, 81, of Clarks died Tuesday, Oct. 24, 2017, at Litzenberg Memorial Long Term Care in Central City. Private family graveside services will be at Bureau Cemetery. Public Celebration of Life visitation will be from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday at Ol’ Beck’s Old Barn near Clarks. Solt-Wagner Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Robert L. Beck was born on Sept. 4, 1936, to Raymond W. and Ruth A. (Wolfe) Beck in Central City. Bob grew up in the Central City and Clarks areas, attending Central City and Clarks Public Schools. Following his schooling, Bob farmed and ranched in the Clarks area. In 1954, Bob enlisted in the United States Army, serving during the Korean War, and was honorably discharged in 1957. On July 13, 1957, Robert L. and Leah (Himebaugh) Beck were united in marriage in Silver Creek. In the 1960s and 1970s, Bob owned and operated “Bob’s Auto Parts” in Clarks. He then started Red Cedar Wood Fiber Company. He also drove bus during that time for Clarks Public Schools for over 30 years. He drove the maintainer for the Clarks Township until his health would no longer allow him to work. Robert is survived by his children, Michael and Melissa Beck of Clarks, Tim and Janet Beck of Benedict, and Linda (Beck) and Mike Determan of Ithaca; four grandchildren, Amy (Beck) Ternus, Tyler Beck, Sean Determan, and Matt Determan; one brother and sister-in-law, Deryel and Paula Beck of Clarks; two sisters-in-law, Mildred Beck of Central City and RoseAnn Irvine of St. Paul; one stepsister, Dode Packer of Oregon; as well as four great-grandchildren and one on the way. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; one sister, Doris Neel; and four brothers, Wes, Dale, Roger and Phil Beck.
