Description	:	Mr. Robert L. “Bob” McClain, 73, of Hagerstown, MD, died unexpectedly, Wednesday, February 7, 2018, at the Meritus Medical Center, Hagerstown. Born March 2, 1944 in Waynesboro, he was the son of the late Victor L. and Nellie Virginia (Decker) McClain. Mr. McClain graduated from Smithsburg High School with the Class of 1962. Read More	Mr. Robert L. “Bob” McClain, 73, of Hagerstown, MD, died unexpectedly, Wednesday, February 7, 2018, at the Meritus Medical Center, Hagerstown. Born March 2, 1944 in Waynesboro, he was the son of the late Victor L. and Nellie Virginia (Decker) McClain. Mr. McClain graduated from Smithsburg High School with the Class of 1962. He and his wife of over 48 years, Barbara J. (Grove) McClain, were married on October 18, 1969 in Highfield, MD. Mr. McClain worked in maintenance most of his life and was last employed as a maintenance supervisor for a factory in Hagerstown. He retired on disability in 2014. He was a member of St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, Leitersburg, MD and the South Mountain Rod and Gun Club. Mr. McClain enjoyed collecting coins and collecting model cars, including Hot Wheels. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his daughter, Vicki and her husband Dave Danfelt; loving grandchildren Trevor and Zachary; one brother, Glenn McClain of Cascade, MD; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Regina Wetzel on January 18, 2018. Services will be held at 11:00 A.M., Monday, February 12, 2018, in St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, 21513 Leitersburg-Smithsburg Road, Leitersburg, MD, with Rev. Terry Culler officiating. Burial will be held at 2:30 P.M., Monday, in Bethel Church Cemetery, Cascade, MD and the public is welcome to attend. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the services, Monday morning, in the church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to: St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, 21513 Leitersburg-Smithsburg Road, Leitersburg, MD 21742.
