I can think of the times that are past and make my self contented with my lot and pass the time away as agreeable as possible and keep up my spirits by thinking it will be my turn by and by. but I am very sorry to think I have to tell you that I have not hurd from you since I left when I have been favored with so many opportunities altho I don't expect to hear from you by every ship but I am in hops that you will wright as often as possible until we are 28 months out and not after I think we shall stop on this coast about one year longer and if we are not successful then we shall procede to the coast of Japan. We have now 800 tbls on board but it is a gitting late and I have but a few minutes to wright in I must close soon but I want you to remember me to them all and let them know that I am well and harty but so old and weather beaten that you would not know me hardly I don't expect I want you to give my respects to Capt Mores and his wife and remember me in particular to Grand father and mother if they are living.
