Description	:	Robert L. Picasso March 19, 1920 - November 12, 2006 Robert L. Picasso, 86, of rural Brandon, died Sunday Nov. 12, at his residence following a battle with cancer. Robert Picasso was born to John and Lela Parks Picasso, in Sioux Falls. He grew up in Sioux Falls where he received his education and worked with his father in the family business, Cherry Rock Gardens. Read More	Robert L. Picasso March 19, 1920 - November 12, 2006 Robert L. Picasso, 86, of rural Brandon, died Sunday Nov. 12, at his residence following a battle with cancer. Robert Picasso was born to John and Lela Parks Picasso, in Sioux Falls. He grew up in Sioux Falls where he received his education and worked with his father in the family business, Cherry Rock Gardens. On Dec. 6 1941 he was united in marriage with Esther Berreth in Canton S.D. The couple made their home in Lincoln Co. S.D. until 1961 when they moved to Sioux Falls. They owned and operated Cherry Rock Garden Market from 1961 until their retirement in 1991. Robert and Esther and son David moved their home and business to their farm in Brandon, in 1988 following the home place becoming Cherry Rock Park in Sioux Falls. Esther preceded him in death on Jan 15, 2000. In his younger years Robert enjoyed ice skating, hockey, hunting and had a talent for many artistic pursuits. In addition to his lifelong love of gardening, he enjoyed traveling and spending time with his children. Most important in his life was his love of our Savior, Jesus Christ. He was an active member of the Sioux Falls Seventh-Day Adventist Church. Grateful for having shared his life are his three children, Karen Jo Woll and husband Richard of Bison, David Picasso of Brandon and Peggy Bennicoff and husband Gary of Nazareth Pa.; 5 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren; and brother Joseph Picasso and wife Ruth of Spearfish. In addition to his wife, Esther, Robert was preceded in death by his parents, and sister Rose Lehman and brother in law Bill. Funeral services will be Friday Nov. 17 at the Seventh-Day Adventist Church with interment in Mt Pleasant Cemetery. For obituary and on-line registry, please visit www.millerfh.com
