Description	:	Robert L. Bob Garner, age 77 years. died at his home eleven miles west of Dardanelle on the Danville road about 1:30 p.m. Tuesday afternoon, March 11th. 1941. Mr. Garner was born in South Carolina, but came to Yell County when he as a lad, and for 10 years he resided in the neighborhood where he passed away. He spent his entire life farming and tock raisin; was an industrious, honorable man and a good citizen and will be missed in the community in which he has long resided. Bob Garner, age 77 years. died at his home eleven miles west of Dardanelle on the Danville road about 1:30 p.m. Tuesday afternoon, March 11th. 1941. Mr. Garner was born in South Carolina, but came to Yell County when he as a lad, and for 10 years he resided in the neighborhood where he passed away. He spent his entire life farming and tock raisin; was an industrious, honorable man and a good citizen and will be missed in the community in which he has long resided. He is survived by his wife, three daughters, Mrs. Lillian Rounsaville, of Bellville; Mrs. Jessie Wood, of Steel, MO.; and Mrs. James Barnett, of Davidson, Okla.; 11 sons, Wendel of the home; Denver, Virgil, and Earl, of Chickalah, Lavern, of Camp Robinson; Walter, Oliver and Ira of Artesia, N. M.; Lee of Washington, and Jack and Dugan of Carlsbad, N.M.; 25 grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren. The Garner-Hudson Post of the American Legion at Dardanelle was named for another son, Roy Garner, killed in action in France during the war War. Funeral Services were held at the Chickalah Methodist Church at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday by the Rev. C. C. Cale. Burial was in New Hope Cemetey.
