Description	:	Robert Lee "Bob" Rediger was born September 8, 1931, in Milford to Harry and Edna (Burkey) Rediger the youngest of two children and passed away due to complications of Parkinson's Disease on Tuesday, March 8, 2011, at St. Elizabeth Regional Medical Center in Lincoln, Nebraska at the age of 79 years and 6 months. He graduated from Milford High School in 1949 and furthered his education by receiving a business degree from Lincoln School of Commerce. Read More	Robert Lee "Bob" Rediger was born September 8, 1931, in Milford to Harry and Edna (Burkey) Rediger the youngest of two children and passed away due to complications of Parkinson's Disease on Tuesday, March 8, 2011, at St. Elizabeth Regional Medical Center in Lincoln, Nebraska at the age of 79 years and 6 months. He graduated from Milford High School in 1949 and furthered his education by receiving a business degree from Lincoln School of Commerce. He served his country in the US Army during the Korean Conflict from 1952 to 1954. Returning to Milford, Bob began a long career with Rediger Chevrolet becoming the owner/dealer in 1971. He was united in marriage to Shirley Henning on November 21, 1958 in Crete. Bob was a charter member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, Milford and served on many boards and as church treasurer. Bob worked as much as he could in spite of his health on the new church building. He was also a member of the Milford Volunteer Fire Department and the American Legion Post #171. Bob and Shirley had a cabin at Harlan County Reservoir where they had a great time fishing with their friends and family, and especially time spent with his children and grandchildren. They also enjoyed traveling throughout most of the US and around the world, including Japan, China, Italy, Venezuela, Mexico and the Caribbean. Robert is survived by his wife, Shirley, Milford, sons and daughters-in-law, Jack and Terri Rediger, Gretna, Terry and Peggy Rediger, Milford, daughter and son-in-law, Ann and Dave Bluhm, Alhambra, IL, 11 grandchildren and spouse, Ashley, Matthew, Patrick, Jackie and Reagan Rediger, Lincoln, Cpl Justin and Alison Rediger, Camp Lejeune, NC, Bradley and Megan Rediger, Milford, Mitchell, Zachary and Nicole Bluhm, Alhambra, IL, great-granddaughter, Raven Rediger, Lincoln, step-granchildren, Nick Petersen and Jessica Petersen, Omaha, sister and brother-in-law, Mildred and Dick Stahly, Milford, brother-in-law and sisters-in-law, Dr. Leon and Bonnie Henning, Kanawha, IA, Dorothy Henning, Crete, several nieces, nephews and other relatives and many close friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother-in-law, Darrel Henning. A Funeral Service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, March 11, 2011, at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, Milford, with Pastor Randy Wahl officiating. Interment will be in Blue Mound Cemetery, Milford with military graveside services. Visitation is Thursday from 1-9 pm with the family greeting relatives and friends from 6-8 pm at Lauber-Moore Funeral Home, Milford and one hour prior to service at the church on Friday. Memorials have been established to Good Shepherd Lutheran Church. Pallbearers are Matthew, Patrick, Bradley and Justin Rediger, Jim Stahly and Rod Henning. Organist, Wesley Skilton will accompany the congregation for "I Am But A Stranger Here" and "Psalm 23" and the duet of Jim and Carolyn Stahly. Burial Blue Mound Cemetery, Milford
