Read More	Born July, 1869, son of John Henry William (William J) & Susan Mildred Bew Norman in King and Queen, VA. Robert Lee is living with his parents and sister, Emma J on the 1870 Census. He is about 10 months old. 1880 Census he is about 10 yrs old and living with his parents, sisters, Emma J and Lucy C, and brother Rufus. His father is a farmer. On the 1900 Census his mother has passed and his father remarried (Eliza Ann Carter). Robert has been married to Susan Alice Saunders about 9 yrs & is father to Lucy Lee, Mary Mildred, William Thomas Roy and Emma Eunice. His wife, Susan, is listed as having 6 children with 4 surviving at this time. Robert's family are living with his father and both men are listed as farmers. By the 1910 Census he is a farmer and owns his home (listed as Farm) and son James Brown is now on the census. All the children are living at home. Son, Robert Wertley, was born abt 1908 but is not listed on the 1910 census. Earl Pernell, son, was born in 1910. Robert Lee Norman passed away 18 Nov, 1914 and his last child, Kenny Woodrow Norman was born, posthumously, on 25 Jul, 1915. Death Certificate states Robert died from Intestinal Obstruction and is buried on "old family ground". Grave is located in Dragon Run State Forest off Irish Road in King & Queen County, Mascot, VA, north of West Point & southeast of Tappahannock. His is the only marked grave of 15 plus grave sites. Family history states that Norman Family & Seward Family are buried here. Note: Date of birth year on gravestone is incorrect. He was born in 1869 and listed as 10 months old on the 1870 Census.
