Description	:	Robert Lee Roland, 54, formerly of Gering, died Sunday, June 1, 2008, at the Alexander Cohen Hospice House in Hughson, California. A memorial service will be held at 1:30 p.m., Friday, June 13, at the Jolliffe Funeral Home in Scottsbluff, with Father Stephen Deaver officiating. Inurnment will follow at the West Lawn cemetery in Gering. The family encourages casual dress for the service. Memorials in his name may be made to the Buckboard Therapeutic Riding Academy. Robert was born April 30 1954, in Alliance Ne., the son of Clifford Glen and Nadine Frances (Boyce) Roland. He moved to Gering with his family when he was eight years old, and grew up and received his education there. He worked as a truck driver and yard foreman for Platte Valley Livestock in Gering before moving to Modesto Ca. in 1991, where he was employed as a yard foreman for Farmer's Livestock. Survivors include his mother, Nadine Roland of Gering; brothers Larry (Gail) Roland of Lusk Wyo. and Don (Kay) Roland of Gering; sisters, Cindy Holcomb and Cathy (Ron) Imus both of Gering; nephews, Seth Roland, C. W. Roland, Austin Roland, and Nick Imus; and nieces, Desiree Imus and Lisa Imus. Numerous aunts, uncles and cousins also survive him. His father, Clifford; sister, Connie Roland; brother Jon Roland; nephew Kelly Roland; and grandparents, Floyd and Nellie Roland and C. W. and Marie Boyce preceded him in death.
