Description	:	Robert was born February 12, 1902 in Pittsfield, Massachusetts, the son of Edward and Mary Bohlman. As a young man he worked as an office boy for a local bank, which was the beginning of his lifelong interest in the industry. After attending Columbia University and graduating from the American Institute of Banking, he worked for Chase National Bank in New York City. He later started his own investment firm in Boston and wrote a book about the stock market, "The Hedging Method of Market Operations." Read More	Robert was born February 12, 1902 in Pittsfield, Massachusetts, the son of Edward and Mary Bohlman. As a young man he worked as an office boy for a local bank, which was the beginning of his lifelong interest in the industry. After attending Columbia University and graduating from the American Institute of Banking, he worked for Chase National Bank in New York City. He later started his own investment firm in Boston and wrote a book about the stock market, "The Hedging Method of Market Operations." On February 24, 1940 in Carson City, Nevada, he married Miss Iris Bryson, and they moved to Reno where they owned and operated an art and gift shop. They had one daughter together, Robin Lee. In 1955 Robert left the gift shop and returned to the investment business, working as an account executive for Goodbody and Co. and Walston and Co. in Reno. In May of 1970 he was appointed deputy secretary of state. He was a member of the Free and Accepted Masons and of the Trinity Episcopal Church. Survivors included his wife, Iris; his daughter, Mrs. Robin Lee Gardiner; three grandchildren, a sister and a niece.
