He is survived by his wife, Mary; three daughters, Beth Chaharlangi of Houston, Texas, Carol Geib of Ottumwa, and Julie MacRae of Irvine, Calif.; one son, Owen Copeland of Adel; three sisters, Virginia Clarkson of Indianola, and Grace Hawbaker and Phyllis Hinkson both of Waukee; and eight grandchildren.
