Description	:	He was the husband of Marjorie (Proctor) Lingham, who died in 1998, and the son of Clarence and Edith (Raney) Lingham. He grew up in Newton Highlands. He served in the U.S. Army during World War I. He received his B.S. and Ph.D. from Brown University in 1922. He was married in 1925. He had made his home in Littleton since 1922 where he owned and operated Priest Farms, which include orchards and dairy farming. He worked at Littleton Oil Company with his son for many years and later worked in the main office of International Harvester in Acton... Read More	He was the husband of Marjorie (Proctor) Lingham, who died in 1998, and the son of Clarence and Edith (Raney) Lingham. He grew up in Newton Highlands. He served in the U.S. Army during World War I. He received his B.S. and Ph.D. from Brown University in 1922. He was married in 1925. He had made his home in Littleton since 1922 where he owned and operated Priest Farms, which include orchards and dairy farming. He worked at Littleton Oil Company with his son for many years and later worked in the main office of International Harvester in Acton owned by Clayton Mersereau. He retired in 1984. He made his home in Ashuelot with his son, Robert and his wife, Gail for the past few years. He served for nine years as a Selectman for the Town of Littleton as well as an Assessor for 11 years. He was treasurer of the Farm bureau, Treasurer for Nashoba Hospital, a member of the American Legion and a member of the Tahattawan Masonic Lodge, A.F. & A.M. He is survived a son, Robert M. Lingham Jr. of Ashuelot, N.H.; a daughter, Ann Schubert of Edgecombe, Maine; five grandchildren; and 10 great grandchildren.
