He was born on August 14, 1941 in Joliet, Montana to Matt and Flossie (Leimback) Kujala. He grew up in the Roberts-Fox-Red Lodge, Montana area. He attended schools in Roberts and Red Lodge, graduating from Red Lodge High School, with the class of 1960. After graduating he joined the United States Marine Corps serving in California and Hawaii from 1960 to 1964. He was a security guard at Schofield Barracks on the island of Oahu. He married his first wife, Grace, in Wahiawa, Hawaii in 1961. They had met the previous year in California. They later divorced in December 1969. Four children were born to this union. Robert (Matt/Matti) Mathew II in Honolulu, Hawaii, James (Jay) Edward in Red Lodge, MT, Margery (Margie) Evelyn in Lander, WY and Kristy Sharlene in Sheridan, WY. He married a second time to a person named Diane but that marriage lasted about a month. He married a third and final time in 1972 to Peggy Crook Ferrell, who had also been previously married and brought with her into this union four children: Debbie, Joe, Rick and Tami. Bob and Peggy also had two sons together, Billy and Mike. Bob held many trades during his lifetime. In his youth he helped on the family farm and played music. In later years he dabbled music, carpentry, cabinet making, mechanics, hardware store sales and eventually ending his career as a over the road truck driver hauling anything from hay to heavy oilfield equipment. He boasted a million miles with no accidents. Bob was cremated in Tennessee and his ashes buried with his folks in the Roberts Cemetery until a military marker for him can be placed. He is survived by all of his children, their spouses, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He is survived by two of his five siblings, Carolyn and Jerry Cook and Jim and Lauri (Boggio) Kujala. Many cousins, nephews and nieces also survive him. He was predeceased by his parents and sisters, Mabel Logan (Rodger), Gladys Anschutz (Jim) and Marilyn Koski (Bob).
