A memorial service will be held Saturday, December 11, 2010 at 10:30 a.m. in Schultz Funeral Home Chapel, Grand Mound, with burial at Rose Hill Cemetery, Calamus. The Rev. Sarah E. Robert "Bob" married Nancy Lee Mardorf on July 9th, 1961, in St. Matthews Lutheran Church in Monticello, Iow. Children of this union are Cindy Marsh of Camanche, Iowa, Lisa Ross of DeWitt, Iowa, and DeeAnn Marsh (deceased). Grandchildren are Tasha Ross, Melissa Burmeister and great-grandson, Michael Van Damme. Along with his children, Bob is further survived by his wife, Nancy; sisters, Dorothy Janssen and Lynn Starks and by brothers, Paul Marsh, Marvin Marsh and Kenneth Marsh. In addition to his daughter, DeeAnn, Bob was further preceded in death by his parents, William Pearl and Helen (Boots) Marsh, sisters, Adelia Eilers and Helen Schneider, and brothers, William Edgar Marsh and Richard Marsh. Bob served his country through various services: Iowa National Guard, Marine Corps and Air Force for over seven years. He was also a Charter Member of the Calamus, Iowa Lions Club. In 1989, Bob retired as a Clinton County Sanitarian. He and Nancy spent many years RV'ing and traveling and ultimately ended up in Corpus Christi, Texas. Bob loved his family, hunting, fishing, telling jokes and playing any kind of cards, but especially Cribbage. He will dearly be missed and fondly remembered by his family and friends.
