Born in Person County, Mr. Moore was the son of the late Fitzhugh Lee and Bera Mae Bradsher Moore and husband of the late Margaret Ann Moore. Mr. Moore previously worked for Western Electric and Farm Credit. He later retired from dairy farming. He served on the board of the Farmers Association of North Carolina and was a member of the Longmeadow Dairy Association of North Carolina. Read More	--Person County Life November 7, 2012 Robert McCutcheon Moore, 84, of 1406 Union Grove Church Rd., Hurdle Mills, died Sunday, Nov. 4, 2012. Born in Person County, Mr. Moore was the son of the late Fitzhugh Lee and Bera Mae Bradsher Moore and husband of the late Margaret Ann Moore. Mr. Moore previously worked for Western Electric and Farm Credit. He later retired from dairy farming. He served on the board of the Farmers Association of North Carolina and was a member of the Longmeadow Dairy Association of North Carolina. Mr. Moore was preceded in death by three brothers, Hassell, Alvin, and Gilbert Moore and four sisters, Lorena Shoe, Annie Lee Bowes, Ida Matthews and Nancy Painter. Mr. Moore is survived by his wife of over 26 years, Mary Lou Moore; four sons, Ronald Moore and wife Wendy, of Leland, Tony Moore, Darrell Moore and wife Donya, and Bruce Moore and wife Annette, all of Hurdle Mills; two step-children, Carl Ray Carver and wife Miriam and Carla Carver, all of Roxboro; seven grandchildren, Craig Moore and wife Carly, Bryan Moore and wife Michelle, Jamie Moore, Bobby Moore, Jerrod Moore, Marisa Moore and Ava Moore; two step-grandchildren, Katlyn Archambault and Delaney Hodgin; three great-grandchildren, Margaret Moore, Madeline Moore and Evelyn Moore; one sister, Frances Hester, of Portsmouth, VA; one brother, Dewey Moore, of Roxboro; and several nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. today, Wednesday, Nov. 7, at Brooks & White Chapel by the Rev. Wayne Byrd and the Pastor Mike Whitt. Burial will follow in the Wheelers Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Craig Moore, Bryan Moore, Jamie Moore, Jerrod Moore, Ted Moore, Bill Touchton, and Marisa Moore.
