Description	:	Moroni Snively (1850-1938) M. Snively -- Moroni Snively, son of Hugh and Elnora Stevenson Snively, was born near Evanville, Ind. March 21, 1850. He came to Iowa when about 21 years of age, spending the rest of his life in and near Braddyville. He was married to Mary Elizabeth Henderson, March 25, 1874. To this union nine children were born, namely, Mrs.Francis Bloom, deceased, Nov 25, 1937, Ms. Elnora Hiles of Elmo, Mo, Mrs Lillie Squier, Mrs Aden Carver and Frank L of Clarinda, Ia, Lorenzo G of New Market, Ia, Mrs Etta Runyan of College Springs, Ia; Mrs Mabel Townsend of Braddyville, Ia. There are also 28 grandchildren and 25 great grandchildren. The wife and mother passed from her earthly home Aug 6, 1931. On Monday, January 24, he was stricken with a paralytic stroke, and a second one on Wednesday, January 26, passing away Monday, Jan 31, 1938, at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Jesse Townsend, after just one week of fatal illness. Thus his going has called home the last of a family of seventeen children, also the last on the early settlers of this community, having lived 87 years, 10 months and 10 days. In his early life he was converted and continued this faith in our Lord and Master, spending much time in the study of the Bible. His last words were "All is well."
