Leader Courier, Kingman, Kingman, Kansas; Friday, August 23, 1929 Robert Nelson Lynn Funeral services for Robert Nelson Lynn, former Kingman man and father of Mrs. Earl Ratcliff, were conducted Sunday afternoon at the Presbyterian church by Rev. W. G. Hall. Mr. Lynn died at a hospital Thursday of last week following an operation ten days before his death. Robert Nelson Lynn was born at Peru, Ill. May 1, 1861. He was united in marriage with Mae McDonald at Humphrey, Nebr. December 28, 1879. From Nebraska he moved to Johanson county Kansas in 1885 and in 1897 to Hutchinson. After living there for a while he moved to Kingman where he lived for 14 years. Several years ago he and his wife moved to Hutchinson and they have lived there since that time. About 28 years ago he became a member of the Christian church to which he belonged at the time of his death. Surviving him are wife, five sons, Roy of Abeline, Charles of San Francisco, Calif.; Clifton of Hutchinson, Riley of Houston, Tex. and Norman of Chicago, Ill.; four daughters, Mrs. Pearl Huber of Saunemin, Ill.; Mrs. Jessie Ratcliff of Kingman, Mrs. Nettie Haynes of Arkansas City and Mrs. Mae Cole of Hutchinson; nine grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Also he leaves four brothers, George of Ingalls, Thomas of Kanapolis, Joseph of Long Beach, Calif, and John of Pueblo, Colo., and four sisters Mrs. Bell Leach of Alvin, Nebr., Mrs. Mattie Dancer of Collin, Ill., Mrs. Emma Leach of Fairbury, Nebr and Mrs. Carrie McGuire of Shidewell, Colo. Burial was made at Walnut Hill cemetery.
