| Description | : | Robert, son of James Guthrie (1703-1778) of Edinborough, Midlothian, Scotland, was the first Guthrie to move to Pennsylvania in 1793. but between that date and the year 1800 moved to Harrison County, Ohio, settling about eight miles south of Cadiz. The distance travelled from Pennsylvania to Ohio was about seventy-five miles. Robert and his wife, Elizabeth Jane Caldwell Guthrie both died in 1814. They married in Pennsylvania May 4, 1778. ∼Robert Guthrie married Jane Elizabeth Caldwell - and she is also buried in this cemetery, but has no stone any longer.
