Description	:	Robert R. Rogge, 71, Lincoln, passed away on Sunday, August 2, 2015. He was born in Auburn, Nebraska, in 1944, the son of Emil F. & Huldah Jane (Dustin) Rogge. Robert was baptized and confirmed at St. Matthew Lutheran Church in Johnson, Nebraska. He graduated from Johnson High School in 1961, and attended UNL on a Regents Scholarship, receiving his master's degree in education in 1967. He married Mary Ellen Grenz on May 31, 1964, in Brownville, Nebraska, at Brownville Centennial Celebration. They were married for 51 years. To this marriage twin sons were born, Robert & Ronald. Robert taught 7th... Read More	Robert R. Rogge, 71, Lincoln, passed away on Sunday, August 2, 2015. He was born in Auburn, Nebraska, in 1944, the son of Emil F. & Huldah Jane (Dustin) Rogge. Robert was baptized and confirmed at St. Matthew Lutheran Church in Johnson, Nebraska. He graduated from Johnson High School in 1961, and attended UNL on a Regents Scholarship, receiving his master's degree in education in 1967. He married Mary Ellen Grenz on May 31, 1964, in Brownville, Nebraska, at Brownville Centennial Celebration. They were married for 51 years. To this marriage twin sons were born, Robert & Ronald. Robert taught 7th grade social studies at Mickle Junior High School for 32 years, enjoying the energy and honesty that students brought into the classroom. He was also a strong proponent of education & teachers' rights at the local, state & national level, serving many years in the LEA, NSEA, & NEA. Robert also valued the friends and family in his life. He was quick with a joke and a smile and loved nothing more than to share laughter with the people around him. He will be deeply missed Survivors include: wife, Mary Ellen; sons, Robert D. Rogge, and Ronald D Rogge and partner Stephen G. Campo; sister, Laura J. (Charles L.) Warrender; brother, Daniel S (Judie A.) Rogge. Funeral Service on Saturday, August 8, 2015, at First Lutheran Church, in Lincoln. Interment at St Matthew's Cemetery, Johnson, Nebraska.
