Read More	Robert Riley Woodward of Minden died December 6, 1986. Burial was in Riverside Cemetery with military rites at graveside. He was born October 29, 1893 near Newark to William and Carrie Rose Woodward. He grew up in the Newark-Lowell area and attended Olive Branch county school near Lowell. He farmed in that area until 1918 when he entered the U. S. Army. After World War I he worked at the Lowell State Bank. On June 11, 1928 he married Muriel McLaren and they farmed the Woodward place near Lowell. After the Lowell Bank merged with Exchange Bank, they moved to Gibbon when he was cashier until 1948. They purchased the Gambles store in Deshler, retiring in 1963. They moved to Hastings and then to Minden in 1982. Lately, he had been living at the Kearney County Long Term Care Unit next to the hospital. Survivors are his wife; 2 sisters, Mrs. Fern Scheidies of Gibbon and Mrs. Laura Schmidt of Minden and 5 nephews.
