Robert Thomas Merritt was born October 13, 1946, in Clinton, to Kenneth Merritt and Nancy (Hendrix). He graduated from the Clinton High School in 1965, he attended The University of Iowa. Robert worked at Chemplex, now Lyondell for 30 years, he was a Controller and a Fire Birgade, he loved bowling at the Odeon Club, and also enjoyed helping others. He loved animals, and enjoyed NASA, he was a member of Fulton Assembly of God Church. Survivors are his 3 daughters Lisa (Michael) Mussman of Goose Lake; Theresa Doty of Prairie Du Sac, Wisconsin; and Michelle (Jeff) Wright of Barneveld, Wisconsin; 9 grandchildren; 2 great – grandchildren; 1 sister Nancy of Colorado Springs, Colorado; 2 brothers Calvin (Linda) Merritt of Pennsylvania and Charles Merritt. Robert Thomas Merritt was preceded in death by his parents.
