Monday, January 12, 2015 in the Silha Funeral Home in Beach. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Tuesday, January 13, 2015 at St. John's Catholic Church in Beach with Father Dan Berg officiating. Johnson, age 88, of Beach, North Dakota passed away on Tuesday, January 6, 2015 at the Wibaux County Nursing Home in Wibaux, Montana. A Vigil Service will be held at 7:00 P.M. Robert was born on January 14, 1926, in Beach to Thomas and Madeline (Jandt) Johnson. He attended elementry school in the country and finished the eleventh Grade in Beach. Robert married Lorretta May Holland on July 12, 1950, at the St. John’s Catholic Church in Beach and to this union two children were born; Paul and Tim. Throughout his life Robert worked at all of the auto repair shops in Beach; in 1957, for Delo Logan and then Brengle Motor’s, W Hammond International, Schultz Case Dealership and for Emil Miller in the Firestone Store. He also worked as a licensed electrician for Stanley Raisler and George Seeley Electric. In 1964, Robert bought the Beach Laundromat and operated it until his time of death. Robert was most notably a farmer and after he retired he went back to help his brother, David Johnson and started farming again. Robert was a member of St. John’s Catholic Church. He was happy to call Beach his home for his entire life. He was preceded in death by his wife, Lorretta; sisters, Marlene Chaska and Eleanor Chaska; and brother, David Johnson. He is survived by his sons, Paul and Tim Johnson and one brother Thomas Johnson and his wife Helen.
