Read More	From the East Palestine Daily Leader, 10/21/1918: Spanish influenza caused the death of another young man, that of Robert Thompson, who resides west of town and who died Sunday morning at 10 o'clock. Deceased was born at New Liberty, just south of this city February 25, 1888, being the son of James and Jane Thompson. He spent his entire lifetime in this community attending our public schools and associating himself with the United Brethren church. For many years he has been employed at the W. S. George Pottery and it was only a week ago that he was forced to give up his work. After a several days illness with grip, pneumonia set in causing his death Sunday morning. In the year 1905 he was united in marriage to Miss Jenkins and with the wife he leaves a family of three children. Evan, twelve years; Monroe and James, aged six and one year. His mother, Mrs. Jane Thompson, who resides on East North Avenue, and the following brothers and sisters, survive: Mrs. John Cannel, Mrs. William Harding, Mrs. David Senior, Miss Mame Thompson, Henry and William Thompson, all of this city; Mrs. James Hassell, of East Liverpool, and James Thompson, with the American Expeditionary Forces in Italy. No arrangements pertaining to the funeral service have as yet been made.
