Description	:	Following a short illness of two months, Robert William Jorgensen died at Sioux Valley Hospital in Sioux Falls on Wednesday morning, Aug. 23, 2000. He attained the age of 80 years, seven months and 25 days. Robert William Jorgensen was born near Platte, SD, on Dec.28, 1919, the son of Olaf and Anna (Odeen) Jorgensen. He attained the age of 80 years, seven months and 25 days. Robert William Jorgensen was born near Platte, SD, on Dec.28, 1919, the son of Olaf and Anna (Odeen) Jorgensen. In a few weeks the family moved to Harrison, SD. He attended two rural schools: Cook School and Patterson School. In 1935 the family moved to Beresford, SD. On Dec. 28, 1942, Robert married Bernice Bickett at St. Teresa's Catholic Church in Beresford. The couple farmed on three different farms in Lincoln County, lastly near Lennox in 1950. They moved into Lennox in 1954. He learned the construction business and started his own construction company, Jorgensen Construction, in 1958 which he continued until he retired in 1985. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by one brother, Alfred Jorgensen, and three sisters: Mildred Dahlin and two in infancy. Grateful for having shared his life are his wife, Bernice, and nine children and their spouses: Margaret and Steve Waterman of Nemo, SD, Mary and Ted Iverson of New Albany, IN, Robert A. and Cathy Jorgensen of Lennox, Donald and Joni Jorgensen of Broomfield, CO, Jeannette and Pat Beck of Montrose, CO, Kathleen and Tom Morrison of Farson, WY, Michael and Gayla Jorgensen of Gillette, WY, David and Carolyn Jorgensen of Cody, WY and Dolly Jorgensen of Tea, SD, and Larry Hovdestad; 26 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren.
