Description	:	ROBERT WALKER (BOB) SALMON, beloved husband of Mabel Anderson Salmon, passed away on Monday, August 26, 2002 in Lethbridge at the age of 94 years. Also left to mourn are his seven children: Calvin (Marilyn), Ralph (Judy), and Barry (Karen) all of Cardston, as well as Joanne (Rex) Andrerson of Barnwell, Max of Lethbridge, Mel (Jean)of Raymond, and Pat (Burton) Shields of Calgary. He leaves 39 grandchildren and 54 great grandchildren, and a brother, Carl (Verna) Salmon of Raymond. Read More	ROBERT WALKER (BOB) SALMON, beloved husband of Mabel Anderson Salmon, passed away on Monday, August 26, 2002 in Lethbridge at the age of 94 years. He leaves 39 grandchildren and 54 great grandchildren, and a brother, Carl (Verna) Salmon of Raymond. Bob was predeceased by one granddaughter, Jill, two brothers, Ross and Scott, and three sisters, Lauretta Dahl, Elene Paxman, and Agnes Oliver. Bob was born in Raymond on January 29, 1908 to John and Margaret Salmon. After taking his schooling in Raymond he served a mission for the LDS church in Louisiana. On his return to Raymond he engaged in farming and construction work, mining, ranching, and managing the lumber yard. In 1959, Bob started in the funeral business with Christensen Funeral Home. In 1964 he worked at the Chapel of Chimes, and in 1967 he bought Christensen Funeral Home. He contintued to help at funerals until his passing, giving him 43 years of service. On September 13, 1934 he married Mabel Anderson and they enjoyed 68 years together. They left to serve a mission together in South Carolina in 1977. Bob was an active member of the LDS church and he held various positions throughout his life, including serving as Scoutmaster for twenty years. Friends may meet the family at Christensen Salmon Funeral Home, 327 - 10th Street South on Friday, August 30th from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, August 31, 2002 at 11:00 a.m. in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Forestry Avenue Chapel, 4105 Forestry Ave. South in Lethbridge. Interment will follow in Temple Hill Cemetery, Raymond.
