Born July 31, 1925 in Cumberland, he was the son of the late Joseph H. Koelker and the late Ada (Layman) Koelker. He also was preceded in death by four sisters, Imogene Stiles, Marie McGlinchey, Doris May and Betty Lou Whitford; and one brother, Charles"Jake" Koelker. He was a member of Destroyer Escort. Surviving are a wife, Mary U. (Nies) Koelker of Cumberland; two sons, Robert"Bobby" Koelker Jr. and wife Tracy, Cumberland and Terry Koelker and wife Jeanne, Zeeland, Mich.; two daughters, Kathryn Darr and husband Danny, Cumberland, and Kimberly Stafford and husband Joseph, Cumberland; a brother, Joseph"Joe" Koelker, Cumberland; a sister, Sandy Crosten of Cash Valley Road, LaVale; eight grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Friends will be received at the Merritt-Adams Funeral Home, P.A., 404 Decatur Street, Cumberland, on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 8 p.m. Services will be conducted at the funeral home on Tuesday at 8 p.m. with the Rev. Father Thomas R. Bevan officiating.
